dear future husband,
after sitting through TWO hours of my marriage prep class tonight with the topic being what you need to look for in a future spouse, i write this to you.
i will need the following, plus more i'm sure i'm missing, but i know you will have:
kisses, and often. i mean, who doesn't love those?
wanting to be sealed to me in an LDS temple for time and all eternity. for me, there is no other place.
a priesthood holder. i'm talking honorable RM status.
patience. i'm a scaredy cat, be prepared to handle multiple locking of doors, and possible checking of the house out in the middle of the night.
words of encouragement, sometimes. especially on those days.
a hard-worker. let's be honest, it's just attractive.
in return, i will give you all of this things {minus the priesthood holder part, cause i can't} plus so much more, and i will be the best mother i can be to our future children.
love, your future wifey!
one of the best institute classes i ever took was marriage prep. loved every minute of it. okay so maybe i took two of them. they're just so good.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about writing a letter like this recently.
ReplyDeleteOne of the awesome things about missionary work is that you really come to see the importance of family, and most importantly how great an Eternal family is.
