Adversity #2

First of all, shout out to miss Courtney Cook. I love you lady! Thank you so much for what you said on your blog. I really appreciate it!

And now...
As I was reading the blog post I posted a few days ago, the first one about adversity, I realized that I can handle everything that is given to me. I am strong. I am seriously SO blessed. Today was a fairly decent day, I put my deposit down on my townhouse for winter/spring, figured out financial aid stuff, and finally got rid of the holds I had on my registration. Such a great feeling.

Anyway, adversity: state of hardship or difficulty; misfortune; harsh conditions; hard times. We all have trials, some harder than others. But we were sent here at this time because we are strong enough to overcome these trials and withstand temptation. We have to go through hard times to understand what the good feels like.

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf stated in the May 2010 Ensign: "Adversity helps to develop a depth of character that comes in no other way. Our loving Heavenly Father has set us in a world filled with challenges and trials so that we, through opposition, can learn wisdom, become stronger, and experience joy."

My nightly routine consists of washing my face, brushing my teeth, journal writing, scripture study, and prayer. Ask me if I did the scripture study and prayer every night a year ago, and you would be a little disappointed with the answer. But now, I can't go a night without it. It's my comfort. I have a completely different look on life now. We all have rough times, but we are strong enough to handle them and learn from them. My life has changed so drastically in the last year, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Everyone has bad days, but when it comes down to it, it is only helping us grow stronger. I love my life, and everyone in it. I am grateful for the amazing people in my life and the amazing gospel I am apart of. I have an amazing family, and I really do have some great friends! I love you all.
