missionary monday

as i have mentioned before, i'm not a hater of mondays like some people may be. in fact, i actually enjoy them. it's a fresh start, and e-mails from my favorite missionaries may play a part in liking it as well. i love those cute missionaries :)

be the example.

words spoken by the not-so famous, Elder (Alex) Russell. i love that in almost every email/letter he mentions being the example. i look back on the week prior and wonder if i was an example that week. i hate when i fall short, and strive to do better the next week. it's hard, and sometimes i struggle with this, but Alex was a huge example to me last semester in so many ways and i want to help someone struggling to find the good like Alex helped me. he showed me that there is always good out there, no matter what we may be struggling with.

my broski, Chase, gave a speech in one of his classes today. he asked me last night if i would listen to him give it, for practice. it was a really good speech. he talked about gratitude and how where he served his LDS mission, Argentina, opened his eyes to being grateful more often. he said that people there barely could get food on their table, let alone a nice home to sleep in, but they were always grateful for even having that. we are all seriously so lucky. but are we grateful for what we have? being grateful and showing gratitude gives us more chances to be happy, and show others that happiness.
